The open course
The pilot course started in September 2002. All schools and colleges could teach the full Salters-Nuffield Advanced Biology specification from September 2005.
Edexcel 2008
From 2008 Edexcel are merging their two GCE specifications. The new Eexcel GCE Biology specification is very closely modelled on Salters-Nuffield Advanced Biology. See SNAB post-2008
