The Natural History Museum have been running sixth-form days which support the SNAB Visit Report. Although they are booked up this term, they hope to offer the same programme in the Autumn term. Please see the NHM website for details nearer the time.

Students:
* meet Museum scientists and engage with their research topics and skills
* take a behind-the-scenes tour
* take part in various discussions
* experience their own Darwin Centre Live presentation
* take part in a taxonomy workshop that explains some of the processes used by museum scientists

The programme has been tailored to the Visit Report component of the new Salters-Nuffield Advanced Biology, but suits all AS and A-Level courses where encountering real research and gaining an understanding of the application of biology is beneficial.

_"I finally gained an understanding of biological applications and realized that taxonomy isn't a waste of time. Good atmosphere, interesting and thought provoking... reminded me why I'm taking Biology."
