SNAB teachers workshopSNAB teacher Lesley Pollock and a colleague investigate locust breathing at a SNAB inset session at York. This investigation is a practical in the SNAB A2 course.

Blowing into the tube increases the carbon dioxide concentration around the locust (in the tube), increasing the rate of breathing. This can be measured by counting the number of ventilation movements of the abdomen.
